Every Catholic urged to join a Lay Apostolate movement

Speaking at the celebration of the Centenary of the founding of Legion of Mary in Kampala Archdiocese on 7th September 2022, the head of the Laity in Uganda (President of UNCCLA), Mr. Gervase Ndyanabo called upon all Catholics to join the Lay apostolate movements.

“Going to Church on Sunday is not enough for a Catholic. Each should have a sense of belonging in the Church by joining at least a Lay apostolate movement”, Said Mr. Gervase.

The Celebration which took place at Rubaga Cathedral was presided over by the Papal Nuncio H.E. Augustine Kasujja and attracted over 4000 members of the Legion of Mary.

Addressing the same congregation, the President of Senatus of Uganda, Legion of Mary governing Council used the occasion to thank the Priests for standing by the Legion of Mary in its apostolate and called upon more people to join the Legion of Mary.

In the homily, Archbishop Augustine Kasujja thanked the Legionaries for being exemplary in promoting brotherhood amid a society that promotes sectarianism. He acknowledge the great work done by the Legionaries in their weekly works of visiting people as they spread the gospel.
