Kasese Diocese to lead the 2026 Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations

Kasese Diocese under the leadership of Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira, will take the helm in leading the national celebrations of Uganda Martyrs Day.

The Uganda Martyrs Day, which holds special significance for the Uganda National Catholic Council of Lay Apostolate (UNCCLA) as the Day for the Laity in Uganda, is celebrated every 3rd June.

Kasese Diocese last led the Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations in 2005, when the Diocese was under the leadership of Rt. Rev. Egidio Nkaijanabwo, now Emeritus.
